Teaching & Volunteering at CVHSC

We’re a parent-led co-op, and it takes everyone pitching in to keep things running well.

Our enrichment-based classes for Kindergarten through 12th grade don’t follow a set curriculum. We also offer a nursery, preschool, and kindergarten program for younger siblings. To join, families need to have at least one child who is 6 years old (1st grade) by September 1 of the current school year.

Parents aren’t required to teach, but we rely on those who are able and willing so we can offer a full range of classes each session. If you feel called to teach, we encourage you to choose a subject you enjoy, a talent you can share, or something your children are excited about. We also occasionally hire or invite adults from the community to teach when it helps meet a need or expand what we can offer.

All parents are expected to serve during the 9-week session in volunteer and substitute roles as needed between 8:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on co-op days. These roles vary, but each one helps the co-op function smoothly.
