How to Apply

Please fill out an application and we will contact you when we have openings. Waiting list applications will be considered for the 2024/2025 school year. Enrollment will begin in April for fall 2024, and October for spring 2025.

Steps to Enroll in CVHSC:

  1. Please review our Statement of Faith to make sure our co-op is a good fit for your family.
  2. Have a child at least kindergarten age (as of September 1st of the current school year) or older. (We have a nursery & preschool program for younger siblings.)
  3. Because we do not have a high turnover rate each session, interested families must fill out a waiting list application. After our returning families, waiting list families receive priority registration.
  4. Waiting list families will be contacted and given the opportunity to enroll in the co-op based off the spots we have for their children. (We have a limited amount of spots per grade group.)
    • When waiting list families are contacted, they will be invited to an information session where more details about the co-op will be given. Often we are able to invite them to attend co-op for part of a day to observe and an information session will be given during that time. (It is required that the CVHSC board meets with prospective families in person prior to offering enrollment.)
  5. Once registration applications are received, the membership fee will be due. We have the following enrollment options for both the Barker & Dishman locations:
    • Annual Membership (only available each fall):
      • Enrollment in both fall & spring session: $130/family, priority re-enrollment each fall. This option is only available to families who enroll for fall session.
      • If you choose (and are offered) dual enrollment, the cost is $260/family for the entire school year. Dual enrollment is only able to be offered to families who have attended co-op for 2 consecutive sessions.
    • Session-only Membership:
      • Enrollment in one session of co-op. Cost is $75/family, re-enrollment occurs when registration opens to new & waiting list families and spots are not guaranteed.
      • If you choose (and are offered) dual enrollment, the cost is $150/family for the enrolled session. Dual enrollment is only able to be offered to families who have attended co-op for 2 consecutive sessions.
  6. Payment options are as follows:
    • PayPal (paypal.me/cvhsc)
    • Zelle (email: centralvalleyhsc@yahoo.com)

Other things to know:

  1. Each location meets once a week for 9 weeks in the Fall & Spring from 9:30-1:00 (18 days a school year). Our Dishman location meets on Tuesdays and our Barker location meets on Fridays. We offer field trips, moms events, student holiday parties, youth events and other activities year-round.
  2. Effective Fall 2024, if space allows, we are able to offer dual-enrollment at both of our locations. Dual enrollment is only able to be offered to families who have attended co-op for 2 consecutive sessions.
  3. It is required each member of our co-op attends chapel during the co-op day.
  4. Each adult who participates in our co-op must complete a background check. Cost is $20.95/per year and can be completed online. Upon approval of enrollment, we will send you the link.
  5. Class registration fees will be another separate cost. Class registration will begin after the end of each enrollment period. To get an idea of what classes have cost in previous sessions: CVHSC Previously Offered Classes
  6. It is not a requirement to teach a class in order to participate in our co-op. However, we do need people to be willing if they are able and feel led to do so.
  7. If you are a special needs parent, you may assist your child if needed and may act as their one-on-one aide. If you are able to also be the helper in their classes, that is very helpful but not required.
  8. Each adult will be placed in various volunteer positions throughout the co-op day. It takes all of us to make it work.
